Local shopkeepers uniting to keep Deffry Vale's high street thriving.
"We've had enough!" said John Dixon, owner of Dixon’s Bakery. "Deffry Vale used to have its own unique quality. Genuinely local shops. Now, we starting to look like every other High Street."
Local shopkeepers aren't alone in their campaign to keep the high street vibrant. Popular ice cream manufacturer Millingdale is offering their support. "In the early days, it was only small, different stores that would stock our products and kept us going," said a spokesman, "This simply feels like returning the favour."
